Otavalo
A small town between Tulcan and Quito, Otavalo is famous for its local market offering various tourist souvenirs as well as more practical local goods.

Its a reasonably typical artisans market, many of the stalls offering the same goods as you see on others as well as at other souvenir places. It is worth taking a look if you are passing, but not making a special trip to do so.
